Best Listener

Humans are known as social animals. We enjoy interacting with others, sharing our personal stories to the closest, exchanging valuable experiences. We talked a lot everyday, don't you agree? According to Dr. Louann Brizendine, men talked 7,000 words a day while FEMALE talked 20,000 words a day! Do you think you talk that much? Hmm... As for me teachers, we need to talk A LOT! We explain the materials, share our activities and ideas, and imaginations, and dreams. It's good to talk. Indeed lack of social relationship may give us bad effects, such as stress or even depression.

However, do we really need to talk that much? In Indonesia, there is a famous quote: "Mulutmu adalah harimaumu", meaning mouth can both save and harm you. In bible too, we are told to be able to control our mouth or words. Have we? Have I?

As for me personally, in these couple years, I learn to jot down my thoughts rather than saying it out loud. I enjoy writing. I haven't made a wonderful essay or article (yet). However, I feel ease after writing down all the thoughts, I feel I have lighter brain. Don't you hate feeling stuffy all the time? Extroverts will go hang out or share every deatils to everybody. As for me an introvert, I prefer to keep it to myself and to my book (or blogger). All of us need a companion who can listen to our story without commenting, ya? So do you agree "The art of listening is much more important than the art of talking"? Or both are equal?

Can you resist her?

Weird?

Isn't it weird if we can make time for our shopping, watching TV, relaxing, traveling, reading, sleeping, eating, bathing, BLOGGING, but we can't make time for our God? Not even a minute?

March Art Journal

I followed this inspiring blog named "Moments of Perfect Clarity", which I think you should go check it out too (see my blog list). On the previous blog, she posted some pictures from her art journal, which was very artistic, for me, and it's good to sharpen our artistic and creativity side. So, I followed her lead. I made some drawings and I know they are not 'perfect' or 'original' or whatever, but I think I'm gonna continue doing this. It's fun!

I was inspired by Monk's theme song. Oh yeah, it's jungle outside! Ayuyoooo! (Credit to Nadine!)
