trio lestari's concert

they came to medan! yahoo! it's truly an honor to have them in medan. we (yenty and i) were cracking our heads to get the tickets. the challenge was to get the official phone number and to get the tickets from the radio station. i honestly confess that i thought of letting it go. not watching their concert would be fine, many of medanese didn't. but thanks God for yenty's perseverance (rather annoying though) pushed me to the end. and in the end, yes, i'd be very dumb to miss it! we went straight to selecta to grab if any ticket left. apparently there were! plantinum tickets only! and we got one for each! :D

the door was opened late. we waited outside for almost one and a half hour. then finally the crowds couldn't wait anymore and started a 'strike'. they yelled and pushed the security guards. the guards gave up and let us in. inside the building we have to wait another one and a half hour! the concert finally started at 9pm! it was officially opened by a local acapella group. they performed two songs and the crowds started yelling asking for trio lestari to come out. it was quite disrespectful for the group though.

tompi came out first singing his hits. initially i was not really into him. i found his music rather noisy and annoying. however, he performed great. now i appreciate his talent and music. and he is surely a joker :)

glenn came second singing with his gorgeous voice! it was amazing to see him and listen to his music live. i was melting while listening to him. love you so much glenn!

sandhy came last. dressed in black, he surely looked like a killer, ready to kill everybody with his voice. he was rather rock in this concert. i was totally deceived by his cool appearance. i watched some interviews done with him and his response was rather arrogant and cool, but he is actually very shy and funny person with a funny loud laugh.

the second session of the concert was like a talk show hosted by three of them. they brought up some political issues, music issue, celebrity issues, humanity issues, and religious issues. they also asked the crowds to donate some money for their foundation, for tsunami mentawai victims. it just confirmed me that they have not only big talent but also huge heart.

the concert was closed by singing sm*sh's i heart you song. to the end, they also showed some appreciation to newcomers and their music.
