What A Day!

I went for rafting for the first time in my life! What a great experience! We (me, my bro, bro's friend, cousin en de  gank) went to Binjai for it, who knows we can play rafting in Binjai (no offence) and who knows Binjai has such a potential resort. I've forgotten the name of the river. But seriously, it's a great river, with clean and cold water, and beautiful cliff.

Boat friends (Suwandi (if I'm not mistaken, sorry :P), bro, Siau Mei, Me, Anthony, Septian (billion thanks!))

Feel the chill to swim?

So, here is the mighty cliff. Looks not so high from below. But when you are up there, and about to jump, your knees will start to shake. Happened to me :P I jumped off twice. One, I was pushed by an uncle (who started to be impatient coz I was standing up there for million seconds and not jumped :P) and two, I pushed myself to jump. Result? Ecstatic feeling! FYI, my bro jumped off there six times!

Break after an hour fighting with the nature. Enjoy the C-O-C-O-N-U-T!

The last challenge, and we did it!

Singapore 08

An update almost forgotten to be posted...

My friends and I went to Singapore for Christmas holiday last year '08. Short holiday yet memorable one.

So there the cast were:

The Kepala Suku: Mega

The Secretary: Me

The Konco and Narcissists from Palembang(L-R): Adi, Li Mei, Cecilia, Maria and Grace

The Super Duper Helpful friend: Bella. Thanks lotsa!

The Uniquely Singapore!

We reached there almost midday with six hours later than the schedule. The cause of delay? KTM! Cheap yet undependable (in term of time).

First meal in SporeFirst visit: Science Centre

Queuing for tickets

There are many interesting things to see in science centre, sadly we didn't have enough time to explore all. I went up to the second floor only.

I found many unique cafes and their decorations

The building looks like a box of crayon, for me. Don't you agree?

Then, we met this aunty who bought many boat tickets, but her friends called off last minute and she sold us the tickets half price! So, we sailed from upstream to downstream :P

The proud of Spore

Question: Did we stay in Shangri-La Hotel? Yes, next to it - RELC :P

For me, it's totally incomplete if you go to Singapore and not visit its zoo. So, Mega and I went there, while others were busy shopping. Welcome to the Zoo! Cheese!

We were so excited meeting the polar bear. But he was having his break. Sad, What I can see was only half of his body ;(

Hi Gloria! Sunbathing?

But I was ecstatic when I met this kangaroo Jack

Mega and I agreed that compared to Singapore Zoo, Malacca Zoo has many collection of different animals. Of course, Kangaroo, the lazy Polar Bear, and Hippopotamus are special case.

Next Stop-Malaysia, Truly Asia!

There was not much interesting thing in KL except its huge Christmas trees in every malls. But one special thing happened in Genting. We met this lil girl on our way out of casino. Her parents basically deposited her daughter in one of deposit centres there. But she was just enjoying herself. No complain or cry from her. What a wonderful girl! (with terrible parents)

See ya at the next holiday!

Saturday's Thought

Phil. 1:6 - He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

God sees in us as masterpiece
that one day will be done;
His spirit works throughtout our lives
to make us like His Son. - Sper

Thursday's Thought

Ps 6:6 - I am weary with my groaning; all night I make my bed swim; I drench my couch with my tears.

Even in my darkest hour

The Lord will bless me with His power;

His loving grace will sure abound,

in His sweet care I shall be found. - Brandt

TWILIGHT!

It's fenomenal! Seriously! I know it's late to tell the world that Twilight is rock! But better be late than nothing, right?

So, I declare myself to be another fan of Twilight! Muahahaha... Sound obsessive, but yes, I fall in love with Edward Cullen! Picture below is his cool mode.

But can you resist from his smile? Oh man...

All boys must be in total perplexity in what is so amazing about this pale-looking Edward Cullen that many girls are willing to be bitten by him. The only advise that I can give is watch Twilight please!

This is the first movie, so far, that makes me wanna read the novel and find out the continuity of the story and everything about it. Man, love it so much!

Melman is The Most Romantic Giraffe Ever!

I watched Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa couple of days before, not the speed that I'm proud of. I watched it with a lot of low anticipation. Movie will be great in the first, drop in the second, and closed with a sweet ending. But guess what I enjoy the movie! I'm still in so much love with the penguins. They are still rock, and tricky, and hillarious as before. Even more in the second movie, I think. Enjoy this movie so much.

But there is one more character that I fall in love with in this movie. Melman! The complaining, depressing, paranoid Melman turns into the most romantic giraffe ever! He's just so sweet!

My fave quote, I took this from IMDb:

Melman: "No, no that's not it. Listen Mototo, you'd better treat this lady like a queen. Because you, you my friend... have found the perfect woman. If I was ever so lucky to find the perfect woman, I would give her flowers every day. And not just any flowers, okay? Her favorites are orchids. White. And I would bring her breakfast every day. Six loaves of wheat bread with butter on both sides. No crusts. Just the way she likes it. I'd be her shoulder to cry on and her best friend. And I'd spend every day thinking of ways to make her laugh. She has the most... amazing laugh. That's what I would do, if I were you. But I'm not. So you do it."

Isn't it romantic, or what?

A day before 'V' day concert

Yeah, here it comes the second month of the year - the lovey dovey month. This is the time when people think they need to wear pink more often, to buy more flowers, to say more of I Love Yous.
Though this year's V day falls on Saturday (which makes it more romantic), I don't feel any romance at all. But I am really looking forward to it. We are having Charity Concert at school. I know I will be very tired on the day for taking care of lotsa children, but I wonder how great it's gonna be.
Our children have praticed for about two weeks (in short time, I know). But I peeped their performance, when my coordinator asked me to take care of some children. It was not bad, I mean, I've got performance with children before and in short period of time, they just could not perform their best. Praying for the best for tomorrow's concert. Can't wait for it.
